You may have noticed when I’ve brought recipes over in the past, they have always been Italian inspired recipes. Italian cooking is definitely my specialty and my fall back, which makes sense, given that I grew up in a home with a mom who was born in Italy. My grandmother still hardly speaks a word of English after all this time here in the States. With all this Italian inspiration around me, you can imagine, I can make a mean meatball.
While Italian meatballs obviously are the bomb, I have been trying very hard lately to branch out of my comfort zone and play around with other flavor profiles. I love Asian food and I’ve really started to finally become a little more comfortable with the ingredients. If you aren’t totally comfortable with Asian ingredients, this recipe is a great one because there actually aren’t any ingredients you haven’t heard of before. I’m sure you’ve got soy sauce hanging around your pantry.
