This refreshing iced coffee is easy enough to prepare for your morning coffee or as a pick-me-up on a hot summer afternoon when you're craving something sweet.

It is no secret that I love coffee. I am a girl who starts the day with a cup of hot coffee. I set the timer on my Ninja Hot/Cold system at night so it is ready for me in the morning. But come afternoon, I'm ready for an iced coffee.

Once you've maxed out on caffeine for the day, be sure to whip up a batch of my refreshing easy homemade strawberry lemonade.

    Ingredients

No hard to find ingredients in this simple caramel coffee recipe.

All the ingredients to make the recipe in small prep bowls sitting on a gray counter top.
    • Coffee - prepared cold brew or strong brewed coffee that is cool
    • Caramel sauce - your favorite brand is fine. My favorite is the Torani Caramel because it is shelf stable and can be kept right by my coffee set up.
    • Caramel syrup - again, my preferred brand is the Torani Classic Caramel but use your favorite brand
    • Dairy - Half and Half is what I'm using but you can use your preferred milk or non-dairy creamer if you prefer
    • Ice

If you've never made your own before, here's a good guide on how to make cold brew coffee at home.

What kind of coffee to use

I'm all over the place when it comes to iced coffee. My coffee maker has the capability to make it so sometimes I do that but I actually really love the bottled cold brew by Stok.

You have a few options when it comes to the coffee:

    • Brew your own coffee using your iced coffee brewer make sure to brew it strong
    • Make a batch of homemade cold brew with a cold brew carafe brewer
    • Use a store bought cold brew such as Stok or Starbucks or a Cold Brew On-Tap Box

    Step-by-Step Instructions

This caramel iced coffee is so easy to make. Feel free to jump right down to the recipe card because it is easy enough but if you are a visual person then check out the steps to make this iced coffee with photos.

Step 3: Add the half & half.

A glass with the completed iced coffee recipe inside. The glass is on a light gray background.

Step 4: Stir well to combine. If desired, top with an extra drizzle of caramel.

Why I make my own caramel iced coffee

I used to be a lady who would hit up a coffee shop drive thru every day. Now, that I really understand how I like my coffee, I don't even enjoy the take out coffee like I enjoy my homemade ones.

    • Convenience - no having to leave the house
    • Save money - making your own iced coffee is much better on the budget than paying for takeout coffee
    • Taste - you can adjust the amount of everything from the caramel to the half and half

    Variations and Adjustments

    • Less Calories - Try using sugar-free syrup and cutting back on the drizzle or possibly changing out the half and half for skim milk.
    • Dairy Free - Swap out the half and half for oatmilk, almond milk, soy milk etc.
