Chicken wings are amazing. Crispy fried chicken wings are perfection and even oven crisped wings are delightful. Grilled wings don't get their praise though. So here I am telling you how delicious grilled chicken wings are.

What To Serve With Grilled Chicken Wings?
Whenever I grill, I like my side dish to be something bright and fresh. Some of my favorite side dishes for grilled chicken wings are Garlic Green Beans, Panzanella Salad, Lemon Garlic Tortellini Pasta Salad or a Green Bean Salad.
Wings or Wingettes
I prefer to purchase the wingettes and drumettes which are basically wings that have been separated into individual pieces. They are very convenient.
If you are using whole wings, that is okay too. They tend to be a little more inexpensive so sometimes they are worth the work.
When using whole wings, just make sure you have a sharp knife to separate. Or you can keep the wing whole, just be sure to add a few extra minutes on to your cook time.
Creating The Grilled Chicken Wings Marinade
Combine the oil and orange juice in a bowl.
Stir in all the dry herbs and spices.
Pour marinade over chicken wing pieces in an airtight container or resealable bag.
Place in refrigerator for at least an hour. I find that 3 hours is the perfect marinade time
After 3 hours, pre-heat grill to a medium-high heat.
Using tongs, place the chicken wings on the grill.
Once the chicken wings have good grill marks (about 8 to 10 minutes), flip them and rotate the position on the grill. This will help with even cooking. Unless you have the unicorn of grills that doesn't have uneven heat distribution.
The chicken wings should be ready after about 20 minutes.
The best way to make sure your chicken is cooked through is to gauge the internal temperature with a quick-read thermometer. The chicken should be 165 F.
Some chicken wings feel heavy but these herb marinated chicken wings have a nice light flavor. The citrus really brings fresh new life into the dry herbs
