Ingredients
2mediumpotatoesidaho
1Tolive oil
¼teaspoongarlic powder
½ teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonblack pepperfresh cracked is best
Instructions
Wash potatoes, no need to peel. Slice potatoes into fry shape either by hand or by mandolin.
Place fries into a bowl and cover with cold water. Allow to soak 15-30 minutes. Drain water from potatoes and dry them completely. Laying them on a clean kitchen towel and blotting dry works well.
Add potato slices to bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
Transfer seasoned fries to the air fryer basket. Set temperature to 380 F. and timer set to 20 minutes.
After 10 minutes, shake basket and then return to fryer. Check fries in 5 minutes, if not done, continue to cook another few minutes. Usually 20 minutes will be the max time.
If desired, top with freshly grated parmesan cheese and/or a fried egg.
