- 1 pound kielbasa (Polish sausage) or other smoked sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional garnishes
- fresh chopped parsley
- chopped green onions
Preheat air fryer to 400 °F
Slice Kielbasa into ½ inch rounds (or preferred size and shape).
In a bowl, toss the Kielbasa with oil, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. (NOTE 1)
Transfer Kielbasa to air fryer basket and cook 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are slightly crispy and internal temperature reaches 160 °F (NOTE 2)
Garnish if desired and serve.
Note 1: You can also leave the kielbasa unseasoned if you like. I tend to season everything with a little garlic and onion powder. This is personal preference.
Note 2: Air fryers like many appliances can range in how they cook from brand to brand and model to model. You may need to increase the cook time a few minutes. The best way to know if meat is cooked is to use a quick-read thermometer to check internal temperature reaches 160 F.
Variations:
- Swap Polish sausage out for lower calorie smoked turkey sausage
- Skip the seasonings and use a flavored chicken sausage - there are many flavors out there now.
Serving Suggestions:
- Mustard as a dipping sauce (grainy or dijon)
- Horseradish for dipping
- Picked onions
