- 8 Tablespoons butter
- 1 ¼ Cup brown sugar
- ¼ Cup white granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt kosher
- 1 ½ Cup flour all purpose
- 1 Cup M&M's divided
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare an 8x8 or 9x9 pan with parchment paper. You can use a 9x13 also but it will result in thin blondies.
Heat butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat stirring often. The butter is done after it stops bubbling and solids have turned caramel brown. Let it cool until just warm.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add egg, vanilla and salt and mix again.
Stir in Flour. Mixture will be thick.
Fold in ¾ of the M&M's.
Spread the batter in the prepared pan and smooth the top with a rubber spatula if needed. Press the remaining m&m candies on top of the batter. Bake in pre-heated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes. Blondies are done when edges have just started to brown. Center will still look a little undone. Reduce cook time to 20-25 minutes if using a 9x13 pan.
Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Lift blondies up by pulling up the parchment. Slice when cool.
