Double Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ C flour all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ C unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 C butter softened (2 sticks)
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 10 oz semi-sweet morsels
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¾ C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa powder in a bowl. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and continue to mix for 1 minute.
  • Stir the flour mixture into the wet mixture until well combined. Stir in the morsels.
  • In another bowl beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Spread half the cookie dough mixture into a parchment lined 9x13 baking pan. Pour in cream cheese mixture.
  • Using your hands break up the remaining dough and crumble over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes, until firm to the touch.
  • Allow to cool completely before cutting.
  • Store in refrigerator.
