In a large skillet over medium heat, brown beef, stirring to crumble as it cooks. Strain excess grease from pan.
Return beef back to skillet, add onion, pepper and garlic. Stir to combine. Add both envelopes of seasonings and beef broth. Stir well. Bring just to a boil then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve on sandwich buns with shredded mozzarella cheese if desired.
