Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 2 vidalia onions thinly sliced
  • 2 C sour cream
  • 1 C plain greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder minced
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt ***see note***
  • teaspoon white pepper or black pepper freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ C chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large saute pan over medium high heat. Add onions, stir, reduce heat to medium low, and cook, stirring only occasionally, until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove onions from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. If desired, once onions are cooled, roughly chop.
  • In a bowl combine all other ingredients. Stir in onions. Taste for salt and pepper and adjust if needed.
  • Refrigerate at least 1-2 hours before serving.
  • If desired, top with additional parsley or chopped chives.

Notes

*** If seasoned salt is not available, use regular salt + ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
