Apple Dessert Pops

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1.5 C chocolate melting wafers see note
  • La Lechera dulce de leche squeeze bottle
  • pop sticks

Instructions

  • Use a melon baller to ball out the apple.
  • Insert a stick into the top of the rounded part of the apple "ball".
  • Place chocolate in a bowl and melt in microwave, 50% power for 1 minute. Stir. Repeat in 30 second intervals until chocolate is smooth.
  • Dip each "ball" into the chocolate. Place on parchment paper. Pop in the refrigerator for a few minutes to speed up the hardening process if desired.
  • Drizzle dulce de leche over hardened chocolate.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

Notes

If chocolate melting wafers are no available, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with 2 teaspoon coconut oil for the same effect.
