Chocolate Banana Bread
Our family's favorite banana bread has been transformed into this sinful Chocolate Banana Bread worthy of dessert not just breakfast.

eggs

canola oil
or vegetable

brown sugar

sugar
granulated

bananas
over ripe, mashed

sour cream

vanilla extract

flour
all purpose

cocoa powder
1 ½
teaspoon
baking powder

teaspoon
baking soda
Pinch
of salt

chocolate chips
semi sweet (+ more for top if desired)
Instructions
Spray two loaf pans with non-stick spray. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine eggs, oil and sugars together with a stand mixer or a handheld. Add in bananas, sour cream and vanilla and beat again until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir dry ingredients into wet until well combined.
Stir in chocolate chunks.
Divide batter between the two prepared loaf pans.
If desired top each one with more chocolate chunks.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes (give or take 5 minutes).
Allow to cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and cool completely on wire rack.
Notes
To Freeze: Once completely cool, wrap tightly in two layers of plastic wrap and then store in a plastic bag in freezer.
