Author: Christine

Ingredients

  • 2 lb skirt steak
  • 3 cloves garlic smashed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ C beef broth or chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ C Caesar dressing
  • 2 C romaine lettuce
  • 1 C shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • 1 T melted butter

Instructions

  • Place smashed garlic cloves in bottom of a lined (or sprayed with non stick spray) crock pot. Place steaks on top of garlic and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour broth and Worcestershire sauce over meat.
  • Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours until tender.
  • Remove from crock pot and place on cutting board. Drain liquid from crock pot. Shred meat and place back in crock pot. Stir in Caesar dressing, cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on low.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 500.
  • Slice each roll in half and place cut side up on baking sheet. Toast just until browned (about 4 minutes).
  • Brush the cut side of each roll with melted butter. Create sandwich by layering lettuce, steak and shaved Parmesan cheese in each roll.
  • Serve immediately.
