Easy 30 Minute Turkey Chili

High in protein, lower in fat than traditional chili, this 30 minute, stove top chili is easy to make and is a total crowd-pleaser. Great for gameday, tailgating or just a simple dinner during the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 20 ounce ground turkey
  • 1 small sweet onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped or minced
  • ¼ cup jarred jalapeno slices drained and chopped
  • 2 teaspoon coriander (ground)
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt kosher
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked
  • 15 ounce tomato sauce
  • 15 ounce can diced tomatoes with chilies
  • 14 ounce can kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • 6 ounce chicken or vegetable stock

Optional garnishes: shredded cheddar cheese, chives, sour cream

Instructions

  • Heat oil over medium-high heat in a stock pot/chili pot. Add turkey and cook while breaking up, until no longer pink. Add onion, garlic and jalapeno. Season with coriander, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  • Add in the tomato sauce, tomatoes, beans and stock. Stir well to combine everything.
  • Bring mixture up to a boil then knock back the heat to a simmer. Continue simmering for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with desired garnishes and tortilla chips!
