- 2 pounds chicken wings
- ¼ cup taco seasoning
Optional
- olive oil spray or spritzer
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- chopped cilantro for garnish
If wings are whole, separate into flats and drums. Save the wing tips for later use in chicken broth (or discard). Add wing sections to slow cooker. Rub the taco seasoning (and if using garlic powder, that too) all over the wings to coat well.
Cover the slow cooker and set to either high for 2½ hours or low for 4¼ hours.
When time is up, transfer wings to a parchment or foil lined baking sheet. If desired, give each wing a spritz of oil. Place wings in pre-heated (to broil) oven and broil for 2-5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with ranch or whatever dipping sauce you like.
Melted butter can be used in place of olive oil mist.
Taco seasoning is a personal preference. Use whichever brand and/or level of heat you prefer.
Ranch or avocado crema are great dipping options.
