This Chocolate Cream Pie martini has been a favorite of ours from a local restaurant for years and now we just make at at home!
Chocolate Cream Pie Martini by Foody Schmoody I'm Just Cooking
This season is so busy for my family.  Yeah, yeah, everyone is busy you say.  Well, we not only have Thanksgiving & Christmas during the November-January holiday season but we also have all 5 of our birthdays!  Yes you read that right, ALL 5 of us. Throw in that we had a confirmation party and we're hosting my husband's family Christmas party too and you can understand me when I say - I-NEED-A-DRINK!
Here's the ridiculous breakdown of our season:
      • Confirmation party for Tori, our oldest (I can't remember if it was the last week in October or first in November)

    • 11/10 Hubby's B-day
    • 11/25 Nora's bday (just turned 2)
    • 12/20 My Birthday (30 something-ish)
    • 12/28 Tori's Birthday (turning 17)
    • ⅓ Josh's Birthday (turning 5)
    • 1/14 Our wedding anniversary
I assure you NONE of this was planned for the holiday season, as a matter of fact my son wasn't due until mid February but apparently he didn't want to be odd man out and he decided to come 7 weeks early!  It is what it is.  (I say that a lot during this time of year)
Oh did I mention that just before all this craziness began, I underwent a joint replacement surgery in my hand?  So we were already discombobulated over here.
So if the holiday season has you stressed and ready to pull out your hair, just sit back, breathe and have one of these amazing drinks.  Just one will have you distressed and making the impending season look manageable. I promise.
    INGREDIENTS:
    Ice
    2 oz Vanilla Vodka
    2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
    2 oz Godiva Chocolate Liquer
    Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
    DIRECTIONS:
    Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
Add all liquor to shaker and shake vigorously.
Squeeze a small amount of chocolate syrup around inside of martini glass.
Strain shaken drink mixture into martini glass.
    Sit back, relax and enjoy.
A few things about this recipe:
    • My husband is the master martini maker in our house, so to him I give all the credit for this recipe.
    • Per husband's instruction, if possible, you should use a combination of ice cubes and crushed ice if possible.  Why? Because he says so!
    • You can also wet the rim of the glass and dip in cocoa powder but we like to keep it easy and stick with the syrup.
    • Be careful.  These taste so good, you can toss a few back without realizing it and end up on your ass.  Consider yourself warned.
