As you may have guessed, I spend a lot of time on the web scouring for recipes and recipe ideas and of course,  promoting my own.  I mean a LOT!  I, like everyone else on the internet looking for recipes, am a huge fan of Six Sisters Stuff (unless you live under a rock, I’m sure you’ve heard of them).  They have so much to share and they have achieved what every food blogger dreams of.  It was on their website that I discovered my new favorite tool (toy, lifesaver, money maker, whatever you’d like to call it), MY RECIPE MAGIC.

The sisters behind Six Sisters Stuff

The sisters behind Six Sisters Stuff

I just found out that My Recipe Magic is going to be featuring ME as a chef!  This is so exciting to me because I love this site so much!

My Recipe Magic is a place where bloggers and non-bloggers alike can browse for recipes and search for them with lots of different search options (ex. Asian- lunch - under 30 minutes).  You can post your own recipes, yes, even if you are not a blogger.   You can also create menus, cookbooks and shopping lists. Did I mention all the nutritional values are calculated for you and displayed in an easy to read format?

The best part of My Recipe Magic is you can MAKE MONEY!  You read that correctly, bloggers and non bloggers can make money on their posted recipes.  Here’s how:

    MRM Logo FB

    Visit www.myrecipemagic.com.

    1. Create an account.

    2. Share A Recipe – If you're sharing one from your blog, it’s as simple as copying and pasting into the correct fields.  The first time I did it, I was nervous and it took about 4 minutes. Now I’m down to about 1.5-2 minutes for the entire process, including uploading photos.  At the bottom of the recipe submission, there is a spot where you can attach links to related recipes on your blog (can you say...free advertising).  You can choose if you want to share the entire recipe on MRM or if you want to direct the viewer back to your blog for the recipe in its entirety.  Your recipe is then submitted and you will get an email when your recipe is published.

    3. Promote - I promote my MRM posts the same way I do my blog, on  Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ and link parties.  I also promote on my own blog. To do this, I simply copy and paste a code that is given to me on the MRM site and it places a cute little button on my blog, that when clicked upon will send the reader to MRM to get nutritional information.

    4. MAKE MONEY – For each view your recipe gets you make money.  It may seem like pennies at first but the more views you get, the more money you make.  The money comes from the ads that are on the MRM website.  While you’re making money you are also giving your blog more exposure.  Seems like the perfect deal to me!

    5. Earn Rewards– I almost forgot to mention, there is also another incentive to using MRM.  You earn points for sharing recipes, submitting recipes etc. and you earn points which are then traded in for whatever “prizes” they are offering.  They are always adding new additions so I make sure to check it out each week.

There are just a few more things I want to tell you about My Recipe Magic:

    • You can add as many recipes as you want.
    • My Recipe Magic estimates you will make about $3 per recipe per month (as long as you promote a little).  Plus, your recipes stay there forever, so as long as your recipes are getting views, likes and/or shares you are making money.
    • To get paid, it’s as easy as having a PayPal account.  Sometimes I forget and then I get the email that money has been deposited into my account, and I’m telling you, it’s better than finding a $10 bill in a coat that’s been put away for the winter.
    • You don’t have to have a blog to use it; most people who use it are not bloggers BUT on the other side of that if you are a blogger, you can gain some extra followers here and of course the link backs are great.

So it’s as easy as that.  To read more about getting started on My Recipe Magic:  How To Use My Recipe Magic
