Big Game Day Dip Station - See how easy it is to entertain for the big games at home by creating a Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It Crunch'd and Cheez-It Grooves!

    Yum

Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It

When it comes to watching sporting events, we are much more of a stay at home and entertain kind of family, rather than a go out to a crowded place to watch kind of family.  Especially this month, when there are so many games to be watching!

Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It

Hosting get-togethers for watching games is awesome for me because I am a huge fan of snack food!  Yes, hosting holiday dinners is fun too, but I would take snacks and dips over a full meal any day of the week, if I wouldn't face judgment!

Instead of spending all my time cooking in the kitchen during the games, I like to set up what I like to call the "Big Game Day Dip Station".  I can just set it all out and leave it for people to graze all through the game (or games) and that leaves me free for cheering on my team! It's a slam dunk! {see what I did there with the play on words, heh, heh}. I set up my entryway table with dips and snacks.  Yes, that means the second you walk in my front door you are met with a table full of tasty snacks.  But is that weird or is it.......awesome?!  I vote, awesome.

While I was at Walmart picking up the Cheez-It Grooves that I was planning to use, I also grabbed a few bags of the brand new Cheez-It Crunch'd.  I couldn't resist, I bought both the Cheddar Cheese and the Hot & Spicy.  My three year old had other plans for snacking and talked me into buying 2 extra boxes of the Zesty Cheddar Ranch Cheez-It Grooves.  Okay, I'll admit, she didn't have to twist my arm too much because those have easily moved into the spot of my fave snacks, as of late, but don't tell her that.

Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It

For game day snacking, I don't like to have to bother with baking a hot dish or spending too much time in the kitchen so cold dips are my game day choice.  See these cute basketball containers that I served the dips in?  Well, I'll tell you a handy tip.  I use a large container like this because I stack a few resealable plastic bags full of ice inside and place the bowl right on top so my dips stay cold all during the game!  Okay, who am I kidding; I mostly I do it because they are cute!

I made two new dips; Roasted Red Pepper Spinach Dip and  Creamy Avocado Dip.

Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It

I paired the Roasted Red Pepper Spinach Dip with the Sharp White Cheddar Cheez-it Grooves because that dip is rather thick and needed a good sturdy vessel.  The Cheez-It Grooves, if you aren't familiar, are what you get if you combine a Cheez-It and a chip.  They are thin and crispy and made with 100% real cheese.

Big Game Day Dip Station with Cheez-It

The Creamy Avocado Dip is the perfect compliment to the Hot & Spicy Cheez-It Crunch'd.  Like I mentioned earlier, the Cheez-It Crunch'd is a new product.  Actually, it's Cheez-It's first ever crunchy puff made with 100% real cheese.  My kids tend to dig this kind of snack, so I also will put out a bowl of the Cheddar Cheese variety out for snacking without a dip to compliment.

Cheez-It is holding a Most Valuable Cheese Contest.  Head over to vote for your favorite of six flavors/varieties of Cheez-It snacks and play games for a chance to win $10,000!

So that's my Big Game Day Dip Station idea.  How do you serve it up for the Big Game Days?

I adore March for all of the March madness games, which is a great excuse to make all sorts of game day foods. Both of these dips sound fantastic.

A dip station is such a great idea - all the work is done ahead of time, plus EVERYBODY loves dip! I'd like both of these, they both sound delicious. We like cheez-it crisps, but haven't seen the crunch'd variety - I'll pick some up next time I do.
