    Fried Zucchini Blossoms

Growing a garden full of fresh veggies is such a rewarding summertime hobby.  While I love eating fresh veggies every day, the thing I long for all winter long, finally becomes possible in these warm summer months.  The ever so delicate zucchini blossom. You can serve them a number of different ways but the way I grew up on them was to lightly batter them and fry them.  So delicious.  Certainly not filling enough for a meal, but we make them mid day and snack on them through the afternoon.

If you don't grow a garden, you can find these during the summer months at farmer's markets and specialty grocers.

I have always wanted to try this and I find that my plants get lots of blossoms not all ending in squash so this will solve that problem! They would be a nice appetizer for the Chicken & Peas I brought this week. Thanks!

Sounds like a fine idea. Believe it or not, there are male and female blossoms which is why not all of the "fruit". Thanks again for coming by and sharing the chicken and peas!
