Have you ever gone to an event or a party and there is a fun signature cocktail? You've probably thought it seems to difficult to come up with a signature cocktail or that making one would cost a lot. I'm here today to show you how economical and easy it can be.

    When To Serve Signature Drinks

Any party really but game night is usually my favorite. Low key night but the signature cocktail sort of elevates the night.

And then there's the food and drinks!  Game night isn't game night without plenty of snacks and drinks.

Here's the thing.  There is a time and place for fancy, homemade everything.  Take Thanksgiving for example, I make it all from scratch.

    Game night isn't that.

Because of my competitive nature, I don't want to sit out of any games because I'm too busy preparing nibbles and fancy drinks.  No way.  I can't win if I don't play!

One of the best things about game night is that we can have some laid back fun.  So why would I mess that up with the stress of cooking?  I wouldn't.

transform wendy's into game night eats

For our most recent game night, I swung by Wendy's.

    Yes, that Wendy's.

Stay with me while I explain.

    Wendy's Store front

I grabbed a few orders of Chicken Tenders (they come in 3 and 4 piece sizes) and a few containers of Chili for nibbling on.  But while I was there ordering the food, I noticed Wendy's has some new signature beverages.  The Strawberry Passionfruit FruiTea Chillers® was the first one to catch my eye.

While I was placing my order, I learned the Strawberry Passionfruit FruiTea Chiller® is hand shaken with freshly brewed, organic Honest ® Tropical Green Tea, real strawberry passion fruit flavored juice.  How good does that sound?

    Score!

Just like that, I had a signature cocktail.  All I had to do was place the drink in my blender with some extra ice and Bacardi Limon and done.  How awesome is that?

    blender bacardi fruitea chiller

Why Bacardi Limon?  Well, rum drinks are popular.  As a matter of fact rum cocktails are in the top 10 most popular cocktails. Limon variety made the most sense to me because I thought that the flavor profile would go great with the flavors in the signature beverages.

Never thought of the drive-thru for your entertaining before, had you?   Between the yummy nibbles and these signature beverages it just made sense.

So, we have our food and our signature cocktail.  Here are a few other tips to make sure you have a stress free game night:

    • Plenty of pens & sharpened pencils
    • Blank &/or lined paper
    • Relevant playlist of music (if it's around the holidays play holiday music, a gathering of old friends, play music from back in the day etc.) but keep it turned down as background music
    • Games!  Plenty of games and a variety of them.  Not everyone loves the same games, make sure you have board games, card games, word games, act it out type games.
    • Speaking of the games, make sure the buzzers work, timers and dice are accounted for before guests arrive
    • Guests - be sure you have an even number of guests if your games require paired teammates
    • Seating - be sure to have enough seats for everyone

We love hosting game night too! This cocktail is a great way to shake things up. For ours, we just make sure there's plenty of space. We don't want people tripping over stuff 🙂

This brings me back to College. We would go to Sonic, get slushees and make adult beverages!! I love your creativity and that drink sounds amazing!

I'm with Laurie Beth... It definitely reminds me of college as I did the exact same thing with sonic drinks. Especially Tailgating in Grad School as alcohol wasn't allowed out in the open. Pour in a little alcohol to the sonic cup and go. I would definitely enjoy trying that new drink. It sounds amazing.
