Over the years, I have come to realize people have very strong feelings about marshmallow Peeps. People either:
A. Absolutely hate them!
B. Can't get enough of them!
C. Only want them if they've been out for a day or two getting stale
I used to be in camp C. I love them when they get just a little bit hard. I would always open the package just a smidge and put them on the counter and come back to perfection 2 days later.
That was the old me.
What has changed? What changed is that I saw this cute Peeps Mold/Pan on Amazon, bought it on a whim and now the Peeps possibilities are endless.
Since getting this mold/pan, I have baked cookies in it, molded chocolate, made some s'mores treats and finally came up with these White Chocolate Peeps Pops! I think on Easter I might even make ice cubes in it!
They're cute and yummy and if you place them in a vase with some jelly beans and faux grass, you've got yourself a cute edible centerpiece.
My kids absolutely loved these, as did my husband who says he doesn't like Peeps.
This was such a fun project for me and my kids to do together. I handled melting the chocolate and the kids took turns filling the mold with the chocolate and placing the Peeps.
I usually try not to share recipes with you that require a specific pan, but since it's fairly inexpensive (under ten bucks) and you can get it delivered in 2 days, I figured, what the heck.
- 1 C white chocolate morsels
- 12 bunny shaped Peeps
- 12 pop sticks or decorative paper straws
- Peeps bunny shape silicone mold pan.
Place morsels in a microwave safe bowl and heat 25 seconds. Stir. Repeat. Continue until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Spoon melted chocolate into mold, about half full. Place marshmallow Peep over the chocolate.
Place in refrigerator 10 minutes, or until chocolate is set and hard.
Pop the chocolate marshmallows out of the mold and place a straw/stick through the bottom of the Peep.
