The secret is leaving the crescent roll dough rolled up! Instead of separating it into individual triangles, you'll bake two whole rolls side by side in a loaf pan. Brush with seasoned garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and let the oven do the rest.

This crescent bread is also incredibly versatile and goes with just about any pasta or soup. I especially like serving it with something saucy like my Eggplant Parmigiana or my Lasagna Soup. I use the bread to sop up any leftover sauce at the end. Yum!
Ingredients You'll Need
See the recipe card at the bottom of this post for complete ingredient list with measurements.

- Refrigerated crescent roll dough: You'll need two cans of refrigerated crescent rolls. Keep the dough in its original log shape rather than unrolling and separating it into triangles.
- Butter: Melted butter helps the seasonings stick to the dough and adds rich, buttery flavor.
- Garlic powder: Provides an even garlic flavor throughout the topping without the need to mince fresh garlic. I find fresh garlic ends up a bit harsh for a recipe like this one.
- Italian seasoning: A convenient blend of dried herbs that complements the garlic and Parmesan.
- Salt: If using salted butter, you can reduce the amount slightly.
- Parmesan cheese: Shredded Parmesan creates a delicious cheesy topping that becomes golden and lightly crisp in the oven.
- Fresh parsley: Adds a little color and freshness to the finished bread.

Variations and Substitutions
One of the best things about this crescent roll bread recipe is how easy it is to customize. Don't you just love a recipe that you can make your own?
Change the cheese: Substitute shredded Romano or Asiago cheese for the Parmesan if you prefer a sharper cheese flavor.
Make it spicy: Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the melted butter mixture for a little heat. You could also press slices of jalapenos into the top of the dough.
Try everything bagel seasoning: Sprinkle a little everything bagel seasoning over the bread along with the Parmesan.
Use dried parsley: If you don't have fresh parsley on hand, dried parsley works as a convenient substitute.
Perfect for Holiday Dinners
This easy crescent roll bread is a great addition to your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner menu.
It's a simple way to dress up store-bought crescent rolls without spending extra time in the kitchen.
The buttery garlic and Parmesan topping makes it feel a little more special than traditional dinner rolls, and it pairs well with everything from roasted turkey and stuffed pork to holiday pasta dishes. Plus, with just a few minutes of hands-on prep, it's one less thing to worry about when you're preparing a big holiday meal.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, it will bake up differently. Stick with the crescent roll dough but don't forget, do not unroll it.
I don't recommend it but you can. Garlic powder is easier to distribute evenly making sure each bite has flavor. I also find the fresh garlic comes off a bit harsh on a bread like this.
Tips for the best Crescent Bread
If the top of the bread seems to be browning too quickly, simply cover it loosely with foil for the rest of the cook time.
The loaf pan size for this recipe is the standard 9 x 5 loaf pan. If you are in the market for a new loaf pan, there are several on Amazon for decent pricing, including this non-stick loaf pan.
I prefer silicone pastry brushes for applying melted butter over the traditional bristles. These ones are super easy to clean.
Allow the bread to cool quite a bit to make slicing easier.
