    How To Make Homemade Takeout With Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY}

    I think we all know by now that I am in love with Asian flavors, and I order Chinese/Thai takeout, a lot.   So when I was asked if I would like to try the Blue Dragon products to create a takeout experience at home, there was zero hesitation!  How To Make Homemade Takeout with Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY} Let me start off by telling you I didn’t just get a tiny little sample pack, no, no, no.  Look at all this stuff!  I was in all my glory opening this box.  It was one great thing after another, including a Joyce Chen Wok, utensils, cute little take out boxes, chopsticks, Blue Dragon Spring Roll Wrappers, Blue Dragon Egg Noodles and Soba noodles.  The variety of Blue Dragon sauces I received was awesome, including Broccoli Beef Stir Fry Sauce, Pad Thai Stir Fry Sauce, Chow Mein Stir Fry Sauce, Szechuan Pepper Stir Fry Sauce and General Tao Stir Fry Sauce.

    The most difficult part of this task was deciding which sauce to start with! I have to make an admission, before all these samples arrived, I wasn’t familiar with the Blue Dragon brand.  So after a little research here is what I found:

    • Blue Dragon is named after the Chinese symbol of good fortune.
    • The company was created over thirty years ago in an effort to help people create dishes from China, Thailand, Japan and Vietnam.
    • Blue Dragon sauces are authentic and an easy way to create Asian inspired meals in your own home

    Because I wanted to create a true “takeout” experience at home, I decided it would be best to make a few dishes and sample a few of the sauces.  After all, when we order takeout, we don’t just order one dish. How To Make Homemade Takeout with Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY}  I absolutely knew I wanted to use the Blue Dragon Spring Roll Wrappers to create a Vietnamese Summer Roll.  That is one of my favorite things to order lately.  In the spirit of takeout, I had my husband “order” the next dish and he chose Broccoli & Beef Stir Fry.  I wanted to mix things up a bit, so I made a vegetarian dish for my pick.  I used the Szechuan Pepper Stir Fry Sauce to create a Szechuan Vegetable Stir Fry with Soba Noodles. How To Make Homemade Takeout with Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY} After some thought I decided to make the Broccoli and Beef Stir Fry exactly as the instructions read on the back of the sauce packet, with the exception of adding some crushed peanuts to garnish.  This ended up being my husbands favorite dish of the night.  It was really good and authentic tasting, as though we did order it.  Also, it took about 15 minutes from start to finish, making it an excellent weeknight option! How To Make Homemade Takeout with Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY} I used the instructions on the Blue Dragon Spring Roll Wrappers as a guideline but switched some of the ingredients.  Basically you soak the wrapper in water for about 15 seconds to soften it up.  Then you place your ingredients in the center and roll it up.  I “stuffed” mine with rice noodles, bean sprouts, green lettuce, shaved carrots, chopped red cabbage and fresh basil.  We used the Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce with the summer rolls and they were awesome!  They tasted EXACTLY like the restaurant we order from and I was very surprised at how easy they actually were to make.  Don’t be afraid of the wrappers, after 1 or 2 you will be a master! How To Make Homemade Takeout with Blue Dragon Sauces {GIVEAWAY}   *For those of you that are local to my area, you have the opportunity to try Blue Dragon Sauces at a sampling event!  An event is being held at Hannaford – Queen Anne Corner – 10 Washington Street – Norwell – MA – 02061 on February 7th from 11-5.  Let me know what you think if you get a chance to check it out!*

    Now before I give you the recipe to my own masterful creation, I did mention a GIVEAWAY in my title didn’t I?  Enter below for a chance to win a cooking kit including a wok, spatula, chopsticks, take out containers and samples of Blue Dragon Sauces so you can create homemade takeout too!

    Contest entrants are only eligible to win once per sweepstake, per household as part of a campaign sponsored by Influence Central.

        They appear to be. I didn’t do too much research into it because I knew my nut allergy daughter couldn’t have them because she also has a sesame allergy and there is sesame oil in them. I don’t see nuts listed anywhere. I bet you could find out more on their website http://www.bluedragon.com if need be.

        Thanks so much Angela! I prefer brown rice myself, but my husband always wants white rice w/ Asian food and since I was making a vegetarian dish for the other one, I gave him his rice, lol. I’ve actually never even seen black rice, now I’m intrigued.
