    Hot Honey Pizza Dip with Pepperoni

    This Hot Honey Pizza Dip with pepperoni is everything you love about pepperoni pizza but in creamy dip form!

    This dip is creamy, cheesy, savory and is finished off with some sweet heat from the hot honey. Serve with toasted baguette slices, crackers or pita wedges.

    This pizza dip is a party favorite appetizer. Perfect for holidays, Superbowl spreads or any time you want an indulgent snack!

    Why you will love this dip

    Ingredients needed to make the dip

    • Cheese - cream cheese (softened), mozzarella, parmesan
    • Greek yogurt - plain
    • Seasonings - Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning, crushed red pepper
    • Sauce - your preference for tomato based sauce but I prefer a marinara or a tomato basil sauce
    • Toppings - pepperoni, hot honey and fresh basil

    How to make Hot Honey Pizza Dip

    Detailed step by step instructions found on printable recipe card toward bottom of this blog post.

    Beat cream cheese, yogurt and seasonings together until smooth.

    Spread mixture evenly into a baking dish or cast iron skillet.

    Spread marinara over the cream cheese layer.

    Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan over the marinara. Top with pepperoni. Bake in preheated oven. Broil quickly at the end for just a minute or two until top is browned.

    Remove from oven and drizzle with desired amount of hot honey and garnish with fresh basil and more parmesan. Serve warm.

    Variations

    As mentioned above, you can change up the flavor profile of this pizza dip a bit. Here are some swaps or additions you could try:

    • Make it extra spicy: Add more chili flakes
    • Change up the meat: Swap out the pepperoni for cooked sausage, hamburger or even bacon
    • Make it without meat: Swap out the pepperoni for veggie toppings like onions and peppers, mushrooms and/or olives.

    Hot Honey Pizza Dip with Pepperoni

    Ingredients
      

    • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
    • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • ¼ teaspoon ranch seasoning mix
    • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or amount to liking/preference
    • 1 ½ cup marinara sauce
    • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for garnish at the end
    • 15 slices pepperoni more or less for your liking
    • 1 ½ tablespoon hot honey more or less for your liking
    • 2 leaves fresh basil chopped for garnish

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to 375℉;
    • In large bowl, beat the cream cheese, yogurt, Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning and red pepper flakes until smooth.
      8 ounce cream cheese, ½ cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon ranch seasoning mix, ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of a baking dish, cast iron skillet or pie dish. Spoon the marinara over the cream cheese mixture. Evenly sprinkle with the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses and then top with the pepperoni.
      1 ½ cup marinara sauce, ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese, 15 slices pepperoni
    • Bake in preheated oven 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly. Switch oven to broil and broil one to two minutes (if desired) to crisp pepperoni, just until the top is lightly browned. Do not broil more than a few minutes.
    • Remove from oven and drizzle hot honey over top. If desired add more grated parmesan cheese and the fresh basil.
      1 ½ tablespoon hot honey, 2 leaves fresh basil

    Notes

    Dip can be prepped ahead and baked later.
    Best when served warm and cheese is melty.
