Are you a lazy summer person or a busy summer person?

I'm right down the middle.  Some days I'm running around non-stop and other days I am declaring a lazy pool day and we don't leave the house at all.

Whichever day I decide we're having, there is one constant and that is an iced coffee is in hand.  I've told you all about my love of coffee several times so I won't go into that again.

A few weeks ago I started really craving a little something sweet in my coffee.  At that time I created a Snickerdoodle Iced Coffee recipe.  I totally obsessed over that coffee for a bit but this week the weather has been in the 90s and I'm really wanting more of a frozen drink.  Frozen drinks just go with summer don't they?

See more ideas to Sweeten Your Summer HERE.

My idea of a perfect summer day is lounging at the pool with a sweet treat like a frozen coffee, watching the family laugh and splash around and not giving a thought to anything else.  Can't beat it, right?

While we were at Walmart looking for new tubes and floats for the pool, I decided to take a peek to see what ingredients I could come up with to add some easy flavor to the frozen coffee recipe I was imagining.  After a while I decided on COFFEE-MATE® French Vanilla Liquid Creamer and of course, to finish it off, I grabbed Reddi-wip® Original Whipped Topping.  What good is a frozen coffee drink without an extra dollop of fun, right?  That creamy topping is like instant gratification!

By the way, making the decision of which COFFEE-MATE® flavor to buy was not an easy one.  There are so many flavors to choose from.  I did notice a few NEW varieties too (in addition to the classics), like Coconut Caramel Latte, Cookies and Cream and Toasted Marshmallow Mocha.  I'm sure I'll be creating something with one of those new ones soon.

You may need to alter this recipe slightly depending on what kind of coffee maker you have.  The variety I have brews both individual servings and also carafe amounts (half and full).  Since I'm mostly making these for both me and my husband, I am writing up the recipe using the half carafe setting.  Basically it ends up with 2 cups of brewed coffee.  If you are only making one, just adjust your amounts in half to create just one serving.

To the ground coffee, I add the cinnamon and nutmeg.  This is something I do often with my coffee drinks.  Adding spices to the ground coffee really is a great way to infuse flavors without them becoming too overpowering.

Pour Frozen French Vanilla Coffee into large tumblers and top with a dollop of Reddi-wip® and a sprinkle of brown sugar mixture (brown sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg).

Flamingo straw not required but highly recommended for fun!

Doesn't this look heavenly?  Sweet sips by the pool?  <3
