Here in Massachusetts, we drink iced coffee all year. It doesn't matter if there is two feet of snow on the ground, we're drinking iced coffee. File under "if you know you know".
Ingredients
You might think you need a bunch of expensive syrups and creamers to make a great tasting iced coffee. You don't. In fact, I bet you've got most, if not all the ingredients in your home already.
- coffee
- ice
- cinnamon
- brown sugar
- dairy or non-dairy creamer / milk
- whipped cream

Instructions
Start by brewing the coffee. You want strong coffee since the ice dilutes it a bit. Add the coffee grounds to the filter and add half of the cinnamon right to the grounds.
Adding the cinnamon to the grounds really helps incorporate that big cinnamon flavor!
Add ice, cinnamon and sugar to tumbler and brew coffee right into tumbler if your machine can do that.
If your coffee maker has an "over ice" or "cold brew" setting, use it, and if it doesn't, don't worry but you will need to let your coffee cool a bit before adding ice. Otherwise the ice will just melt on contact.
After the coffee is brewed, stir in the milk / creamer. I give suggested amounts in the recipe card but go with what you like. You may want a lot less or a lot more. We all like our coffee different.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar and cinnamon.

Equipment
These are the items I used. You can make do with whatever you have access to. However, I do like to shout out to the Ninja Hot/Cold system. I've never looked back since I switched from Keurig systems to Ninja systems.
FAQ
No, Starbucks snickerdoodle is made with cinnamon dolce syrup and white mocha. I imagine that one is a lot sweeter and packs in a lot more calories.
Any coffee maker will do. If your coffee maker doesn't have an "over ice" or "cold brew" setting, simply allow your coffee to cool.
Use ice cubes that are made from leftover coffee instead of water!
Yes, but keep in mind when brewing fresh, we are adding cinnamon. You might not get as much cinnamon flavor with bottled brew.

This sounds so yummy! I assume you could also make this as a hot beverage with the “specialty” button?
foodyschmoody says
I don't see why not. You may need to adjust the amount of sugar used since the specialty button yields a smaller amount of coffee. I'd love to know how it turns out!
