While traditional chicken parm has breaded chicken involved, to keep things super easy and convenient I've omitted the breading and I'm using rotisserie chicken.

Rotisserie chicken always pulls through in a pinch. I have a post where I've pulled together the best recipes using rotisserie chicken. Don't forget to save the bones to make Instant Pot Bone Broth!

If you absolutely need the breaded chicken, then by all means, follow the recipe buy instead of rotisserie chicken, use cooked breaded chicken tenders or nuggets.

When to serve Chicken Parm Sliders

This little saucy chicken sandwiches serve up well any time but if you need some ideas, here you go:

    • Holidays parties - arrange the sliders in a circle and fill the center of the plate with fries.
    • Busy weeknight dinners
    • Potlucks
    • Football watch parties
    • Gift exchange parties
    • Weekend midday munchies

    What to serve with sliders

If I'm preparing these sliders for a snack, I just eat them on their own. However, if I'm preparing these chicken sandwiches for dinner, I like to use a side. Here are some good side dish ideas.

    •  Air Fryer Fries
    • Air Fryer Zucchini Fries
    • Air Fryer Broccoli
    • Panzanella Salad
    • Onion Rings
    • Salad of any kind

How to prepare the mini sandwiches

A glass baking dish with the bottom of the rolls topped with chicken.

One: Prep the baking dish with butter or non-stick spray. Lay the bottom halves of slider rolls in baking dish. Top with chicken.

A glass baking dish with prepped sliders. The bottom rolls are topped with chicken, cheese and sauce.

Two: Spread the sauce and add the cheeses to the top of the chicken.

The sliders prepped and rolls buttered in a 9 by 13 glass baking dish.

Three: Place the tops of the rolls on and brush with butter and sprinkle with herbs.

A 9 by 13 baking dish covered in aluminum foil in an oven.

Four: Cover with foil and bake.

Once the sliders have baked serve while still warm.

    Important Recipe Tips

    • Use rolls that are either labeled sliders or dinner rolls that are attached rather than a bag of loose rolls.
    • Brush butter over the tops of sliders just before baking.
    • Level up the butter by adding garlic bread seasoning or Italian seasoning to the butter before spreading on rolls.
    • If preferring to use breaded chicken, use cooked chicken nuggets or tenders
